SA space scholarship winners announced

Five South Australian students will share $50,000 worth of State Government-funded scholarships for a highly regarded international space program in Adelaide.   

Aspiring space professionals Jade Chantrell, Edward Cronin, Jack Hooper, Hamish McPhee and Keith Wright will receive scholarships to participate in the 2018 Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Program (SHSSP), starting on 15 January.  

The intensive five-week, live-in summer school program, hosted jointly by the University of South Australia with the International Space University in Strasbourg, France, aims to educate the next generation of space workers. 

The program attracts over 40 participants from around the world to undertake training in key areas of knowledge in the space sector, including satellite applications, human space exploration and space policy.
